Hi Mike,
I am enjoying my position as observer with respect
to the debate about Grant Jeffreys book. I have not read that
one, though I have read others by that author. However, whilst not
wishing to intrude or make any pertinent comment about Mr Jeffrey, I
nevertheless thought it might be a good moment to dig something out of
the files re: bible numerics. As the attached is all my own work,
it's only my head that rolls if my research is rubbish. I am aware of
my potential for dreaming, as witness my original ill-founded theories
of the [Snip] mystery saga (but even there I have eventually arrived at
a very satisfactory understanding of the [Snip] relationship).
The big name in bible numerics is Ivan Panin - a noted mathematician
and atheist. His work on the bible text and its mathematical
design turned him to Christianity. You can Google Ivan Panin if you are
interested in his evidence regarding bible validity.
Anyway, after reading him I was moved to try my own hand on numerics
and came up with something of sufficient clout to convince me. It
wasn't on the surface and I had to dig for it but that made it all the
sweeter to find.
Cheers Pop
