Hi Mike,
Flatterland by Ian Stewart has been read, and in the main, understood.
From time to time I have a mild interest in this stuff and it certainly broadens one's outlook. I could say that most of Stewart's contribution I had met elsewhere, but that's not a criticism.

I began to wonder whether Abbott would have been happy with Stewart's sequel, and that led me towards researching Abbott himself.  He seems a most interesting character.  A prominent Shakespearean scholar for a start.  I hadn't got far before I came across the attached link and it seems initially that there is an attempted link between maths, science and religion.  I find that proposition highly satisfying.

Will write when I have more to say .
